BiographyDJ Lunik began DJ-ing in 2000, and within just a few months was playing at a local bar, as well as the ubiquitous free parties. Within 2 years, she gained her first residency at the nightclub Kef, in Aberdeen, where she had the chance to hone her skills of building up the energy, in 4-hour sets.

In 2006 she took the opportunity to turn the residency into her own night – KETCHUP – and is also a regular guest, at Snafu (Scotland’s Nightclub of the Year, 2007), where she’s warmed up for Chicks on Speed, and Evil Nine.

In April 2007 she was featured in DJ mag, as her Breaks mix – Laser Beams – was selected as their “Top Pick” of Pick ‘n’ Mix. But it’s not just Breaks she plays; Lunik’s musical taste is diverse – mixing, Indietronica, Electroclash and Electronica.

The love of her life (musically speaking) is Techno – Minimal and Tech House. It’s where it all started for me – with Juan Atkins, Robert Armani, Sabres of Paradise, and Christian Vogel. With Techno I’ve got so much scope to tweak and twiddle”.

Having moved to mixing on CDJs 2 years ago, Lunik got herself a Traktor this year, and has unleashed even more scope to play about with.

Her motto says it all:
