 | Hi I'm Steve Whittle and I was born in Rugby and moved to Brighton 8 years ago, so I now consider myself Brighton born and bred. I've been DJ'ing in Brighton for 8 years and loved every minute of it. I have also recently been signed to Masterplan Recordings as a Minimal/Deep-House Producer. And just for the hell of it decided to start Checkmate Promotions too… I've been resident for a lot of club nights in Brighton such as Turned Up High (Al Dulomo), Twisted Disco (Pacha London), Fiesta (Ocean Rooms), Electrofied (Al- Dulomo) and most recently you may have seen me playing at the Deeplicious ( H-Bar) night going completely Bonkers.
I'd say the people that keep the music scene alive in Brighton have moved from some clubs in the last few years and have taken that party vibe and atmosphere into newer surroundings which seem to have given the nights a new lease of life. You can now go to a smaller venue in Brighton and have a life changing experience…. My most memorable event since I have been DJ'ing for me would be playing at Pacha (London) at an amazing over 1500 beautiful party people going nuts! And some of the best DJ's I have ever played with are Roger Sanchez, Ferry Corston, Mark Holiday, Lee Garrett, Lidia De Luca, Manda Dex and Most recently Jamie Bawn. And there are some amazing up and coming DJ's in Brighton I think you should watch out for too…!!!!! Lidia de luca, George Buko, Gabriel Ursa, and of course …Myself. This is where you will be able to find me through out the year….
