| While previous mixsets have had nasty lyrics, sicker basslines, more verve and push, this offering is surely more thoughtout. Production wise, far superior; there seems a less heavy-handed approach this time, the layering of old school classic electro proving auspicious sprinkled throughout with adroit timing. As for "fidgetness" you are working toward a goal of being as "funked" as Scallydandan or Garrin or Shipley of Joe V; follow them and listen to what they are doing; emulate Mr. Scally and you will achieve success as a Fidget Master.
The choice of tracks and some age-old favorite and timeless songs was more than dead-on perfection. This is sick, sick, sick shiz in spots, and what you've only just begun is sure to pay-off for you down the road. Thoughtful progression from track-to-track equates to a finely constructed, woven tapestry of new and old tunage capable of bringing back memories for all who listen to this effort. I can hear this set at Burningman, maybe on the road through the vast long and seemingly endless drive through mud flats long dry, low tundras, and lots of alkaline dust, all the while dreaming of the burn and every moment soon to come! An exciting mixset worthy of the Burn, surely I will take this one with me to share with others. Ending nicely, this mixset is a solid 4.3 stars! | |
