| DO I start with looking at the artwork for this and feel both recoiled and repelled at having worked for Disney for 23 years? DO I consider that sickening array of tunes he has selected which made me want to cry out for more? DO I make mention of the phenominal mixing technique? DO I discuss the nuances of dance moves to various tracks herewith? DO I point out the import of downloading this mixset immediately? DO I ask where he got the idea to weave this creation? DO I insist that he make more of this verifiable disgusting filth posthaste?
I DO. A standout in this set for me is the SEE ME track that I had in my hands, the day it was released on a 45 RPM record, when TOMMY first hit the movie theaters and I was 15. Not only did the lyrics get roundly criticized, for any youngman at the time, that became our seminal song of adolesence. Hearing it the way Herve has reconstructed it now, with the very suave backquacks and layering, and then carefully worked into Hiz and Hiz .... a marvel of sounds. Another standout was the track Fixed Minds and then, Natty Jack. Ah hell, I loved every track! Five fidgety stars! | |
