Ten Past Four On Sunday A new year. A new view on life. Managed to finally succeed in crossing a major hurdle in my life. So have started 2008 with a positive view towards what i believe, is going to be the most important year of my life. I've been very indecisive as to what music to put into this mix. I was overwhelmed by the idea of creating a mix that brought warmth and a smile to the face. So today on a whim, at ten past four, i made this. I hope that within this mix i've acheived what i set out to do. Tracklist: Dj Koze - Mariposa Solar Heights - No Trace (Popof Remix) Oxia - Lost Memory Avus - Furry Hat Gill Norris - Forme (Daso Remix) Fusiphorm - Green Chocolate (Kolijahs Exploding Cake Remix) Patrick Chardronnet - Eve By Day (Ripperton Remix) Heartthrob - Baby Kate (Sascha Funke Remix) Gui Boratto - Beautiful Life (Sascha Funke Remix) Mike Monday - Bhalobashi

| and Baby Kate and me were on our way to see her mom, Eve. By Day, Eve worked at Green Chocolate, a restaurant in Bhalobashi; even later at night she walked her sexy Forme on Mariposa, wearing a Furry Hat, looking for extra cash, promising her client to leave No Trace of lipstick on the collar to ensure their continued Beautiful Life. My Lost Memory precludes why I have the baby, I just know that when I got on the train, I think it was about Ten Past Four on Sunday, and me and Baby Kate ...
This entire set reminded me of being on a trip, the kind where you really are going somewhere with anticipation at hopefulness. Often during this set the cadence reminded me of riding a horse and being in the mountains. Again, the train seemed a familiar theme, as did space travel. There were moments when an anticipated series of sounds would not materialize - with something a bit better taking place. Blends were seamless yet I felt at times it was going on a bit too long without deviation to the overall dominate "plodding" theme, however, just at the point I was thinking, change to something else, please, he did. The tempo of the entire piece and the tracks provided work well; this is the type of set I would drive a long distance with using as a background to serve in counterpoint to the streets and billboards passing by. This is a nice mood piece suitable for quieter endeavors. The Gill Norris cut, remixed by many, is a nice one by Daso. Four stars for the ability to toss this together, impromtu, at Ten Past Four on Sunday.

| brought a smile to my face. Great tracks and some nice mixing, what more do you need :). Especially a beautiful life by gui borrato, that track always makes me happy (although I like the original version better ;) ). | |
